Travelling by car

Motorway A2 from Dortmund turn off at the Bielefeld junction onto the A33 towards Osnabrück/Bielefeld. After approx. 4 km, take the Bielefeld-Zentrum exit onto Ostwestfalendamm/B61. Follow the road until the exit towards Johannistal/Bethel. Keep right and turn right again onto Arthur-Ladebeck-Straße. At the 2nd set of traffic lights, Quellenhofweg branches off to the left. At the first set of traffic lights, turn off onto Gadderbaumer Straße and at the second set of traffic lights, turn off onto Quellenhofweg. You will reach the village of Bethel via both roads.

Motorway A2 from Hannover Exit Bielefeld-Ost. Turn right onto the B66 towards the centre. After 4.2 km turn left from Detmolder Straße into Osningstraße (signposted "Bi-Brackwede"). Continue following these signs and turn right into Bodelschwinghstraße and after 1.7 km turn right into Quellen hofweg (signposted "Bethel"). After 2.2 km you will reach Dankort on the right.

The v. Bodelschwingh Foundation Bethel and the City of Bielefeld jointly manage the car park in the village of Bethel. The parking spaces of the City of Bielefeld can be used from 8 am to 6 pm with a parking disc (parking duration max. 2 hours) or with a valid parking ticket (machine in Kantensiek). For the signposted car parks of the v. Bodelschwinghschen Stiftungen Bethel, a day pass is required on weekdays for a fee. It can be obtained at the reception in Dankort and at Königsweg 1 at the gate of the main administration as well as in the Bethel bookshop.

Travelling by train

Bethel can be reached from Bielefeld main station by tram line 1 (direction Senne). Get off at Bethel (Bethel Head Office) or Friedrich-List-Straße (Dankort Public Relations).

Bus routes in Bethel

In Bethel, bus route 122 makes a total of 16 stops. The Bielefeld buses start at the Gadderbaum Bethel stop and also end there after their round trip. Stops include Gilead I/II, Gadderbaum Children's Hospital, Gadderbaum Freudental and Gadderbaum Abendlicht. You can find the complete route here.
